Hello

Welcome to my practice website. I’m glad you found me. Chances are you’ve come searching because something isn’t going quite right in your life, or maybe something’s going very wrong. I want to help.

I offer psychological services for individuals, families, and children. I help individual adults and families as they navigate major life transitions.
Some of these transitions include

  • Welcoming a new baby
  • Adoption
  • Separation
  • Divorce
  • Remarriage
  • Step-parenting
These transitions often bring change and uncertainty. Sometimes people need additional support to move through these times and build better lives and better relationships. While it may not seem so now, change and growth are possible.

I also work with families whose children are experiencing emotional and/or behavioral issues. Often a child’s emotional or behavioral issues begin to interfere with relationships within the family. At that point it is critically important to help parents and child to change behavior patterns and repair their relationships.

How to Know If It’s Time for Help

Parents wonder when they should seek help for their child.

Some signs that it’s time to seek help:

• The problems are beginning to damage your relationship with your child.
• You no longer enjoy your time with your child because the problems get in the way.
• It feels like the problems rule your family life.
• You lose sleep worrying about your child’s functioning.

Many times, troubling behaviors can be resolved quickly with parent coaching. Other times, more in-depth work involving both parent and child, or child alone, is necessary.
