Professional Organizations

A wealth of information about current research on a variety of mental health issues. Also home to Magination Press, a publisher of children’s books about many of the challenges kids face, like bullying, divorce, and depression.

Find psychologists throughout California, check the status of a psychologist’s license, and access many other mental health resources.

You will find links to other psychologists and mental health agencies in Santa Clara County. You’ll also find a large number of one-page articles, written for clients, about topics ranging from bereavement and grief to virtual reality treatment for phobias. A list of custody evaluators, therapists, mediators, and other mental health professionals in Santa Clara County who provide services to families involved with Family Court.

This is a multidisciplinary organization of judges, lawyers, mediators, and mental health professionals, all of whom work within family law. Resources for parents can be found through the Resources Center drop-down menu.

Community Support

This organization helps families raising children with special needs. They have great resources about the IEP process, including parent volunteers to coach you about the process. They also have groups for parents.

Devoted to helping women and their children escape abusive relationships and find safety. They offer a number of support groups, including a group in Los Gatos on Monday nights.

The YWCA has their Domestic Violence Support Center and the Rape Crisis Department, as well as child care resources and counseling.
